Ångström Microstructure Laboratory (MSL)

Ångström Microstructure Laboratory (MSL) is Uppsala University’s node in Myfab, a distributed national research infrastructure for cleanroom based research and development in microtechnology, nanoscience and materials research. Besides UU, KTH, Chalmers and (from 2016) Lund University are also involved in this comprehensive infrastructure, where about 800 users have access to as many instruments. The overall laboratory resources in Myfab are available for both academic research and industrial development.

The user groups that are active at MSL represent diverse fields of research, with some focus on basic materials science, thin film technology, energy generation and sustainability, emerging electronics, microsystems, nanotechnology and life sciences.
